In 2004, I started studying psychology at Utrecht University. After the first year, I chose the specialization ‘Clinical and Health Psychology’. Furthermore, I followed other psychology courses and completed a minor in methods and statistics. In my Bachelor’s thesis (under supervision of Marieke Adriaanse), I investigated the effectiveness of different formulations of the then-part of implementation intentions. From the beginning of my study on, I am interested in doing scientific research. Therefore, I have chosen to do a research master rather than an academic master. Currently, I am in the second year of the research master ‘Social and Health Psychology: Research in Behavioural Regulation’. In my Master’s thesis (under supervision of Iris Voorneman), I will investigate the relations between construal level, ego-depletion and self-control.
